Known failures and troubleshooting
- HiLink firmware makes the stick look like an ethernet adapter, so the desktop app finds no COM port — this is the usual reason an E3372h is not detected.
- If the PC shows only a CD-ROM or SD device, install the HiLink drivers before troubleshooting the software.
- Detection tools expecting an AT port set will time out; confirm which mode the stick is in first.

Questions about this model
Does the Huawei E3372h-153 work as an SMS modem?
The original SMS Deliverer site listed it in its hardware notes, but in HiLink mode the stick exposes no AT COM port, so desktop SMS software cannot drive it directly. This rebuild did not re-test the stick.
Why is my E3372h not detected as a modem?
Because HiLink firmware presents it as a network adapter with a web interface at 192.168.8.1. Only firmware that exposes serial ports makes the stick usable for AT-based sending.
