Specification and SMS behaviour
| Chipset / module | Huawei E1750 stick (internal baseband chipset not verified) |
|---|---|
| Interfaces | USB 2.0. Virtual COM ports plus a CD-ROM/SD device; AT^U2DIAG can reconfigure which devices appear. |
| Power supply | 5 V from USB, up to 500 mA; consumption up to about 2.5 W |
| AT command notes | Same generation as the E173: AT+CMGF / AT+CMGS with PDU mode documented by the vendor. AT^U2DIAG=0 disables the CD-ROM/SD devices so only modem ports remain. |
| Concatenated (long) SMS | PDU mode with a UDH is the documented path; not re-tested on this model. |
| Receiving SMS / OTP | Not verified |
| MMS | Not verified |
| Date tested | Listed on the original smsdeliverer.com hardware notes; not re-tested in this rebuild (2026-11) |
Fields we could not verify are written as "Not verified" rather than filled with estimates.
Known failures and troubleshooting
- If the PC only shows a CD-ROM device, send AT^U2DIAG=0 on the PC UI port to bring the modem ports back.
- Choosing the wrong virtual port is the most common setup mistake; confirm the modem port in Device Manager.

Questions about this model
The E1750 only shows a virtual CD drive. Where is the modem?
Send AT^U2DIAG=0 on the PC UI port (or use the vendor tool) to disable the CD-ROM and SD devices; the modem ports then remain on the next replug.
